Protective coatings for offshore installations

Corrosion protection is one thing. At sea, however, sealing properties, impact protection, electrical insulation or slip resistance are often also required. These are requirements that a modern spray rubber coating can meet better than a conventional paint system.

If you want more, you have to invest more in surface protection and its application. Nothing works without compressed air...

MetaLine Series 700 –

MetaLine 785 is a polymeric, sprayable cold rubber coating that imparts rubber-like properties to existing metal structures – even retroactively. Vulcanization is not necessary. Applications are

  • Sealing
  • Slip protection
  • Electrical insulation
  • Impact protection
  • Elastic corrosion protection

Rust removal, desalting and degreasing are mandatory for a professional installation! MetaLine is not a quick brush solution . . .

Steel window sealing - structural cracking on the steel window frames of this residential offshore platform was sealed and coated with MetaLine 785
Inspection hatch seal - sealing, slip resistance and maximum corrosion protection characterize this removable seal on the bottom hatch of a platform
Underwater cable installation - this unwinding device was coated with 5 mm (200 mils) MetaLine 785 yellow to protect the cables from damage during descent!
Flange protection coating - it should protect against atmospheric influences and at the same time the screw connection must remain accessible. No contradiction with the elastomer MetaLine 785. The coating can be cut back and repositioned!
