Wear resistant coatings to optimize screens and filters

“You can't make an omelet without breaking eggs” – this saying applies as well to screening and filtering. Extremely high mass flow rates, abrasive crystalline material forms, chemically aggressive media, sharp material edges – all these gnaw at a production line’s lifetime. Simple screen inlays are in general easy to replace, support structures and supports, however, they have to cope with the same stresses and therefore need permanent protection. In areas like "pure-mineral technology" insulated, metal-free surfaces are required in order to guarantee constantly high production purities.

MetaLine Series 700 – MetaLine Series 700 coatings are absolutely metal-free and standardized, e.g. for pure mineral processing. Their elastomeric action dampens high impact forces, avoids indenting sharp edges and offers good chemical resistance. Thanks to their seamlessness, infiltration and detachment – as in prefabricated and glued rubber linings – is nearly impossible. The color variability allows an optimal contrast adaptation to the conveyed material to support, for instance, photo-optical control. The vibratory behavior of screening decks has no negative effect on this solution’s continual effectiveness.

MetaLine Series 700 –

MetaLine Series 700 coatings are absolutely metal-free and standardized, e.g. for pure mineral processing. Their elastomeric effect dampens high impact forces, avoids indenting of sharp edge media and offers good chemical resistance. Thanks to their seamlessness, infiltration and detachment – as in prefabricated and glued rubber linings – is virtually impossible.

The color variability allows an optimal contrast adaptation to the conveyed material to support, for instance, photo-optical inspection. The vibratory behavior of screening decks has no negative effect on the long-term suitability of this problem solution.

Drum screen coating - large screen drum in the potato washing plant of a German starch factory coated with 4 mm MetaLine 785. Throughput after 4 years over 1 million tons of potatoes, stones, soil - without visible wear! Perfect preparation has once again led to a perfect result!
Filtration coating - vibrating screen for rejecting broken tablets in pharmaceutical packaging. The FDA-approved coating with 1.5 mm MetaLine 795 has technically solved the problem and also reduced waste. The costs have been reduced!
Screen coating - this is how precise a high-performance coating can be! MetaLine 785 sprayed on precisely without drips or runs - and on a single part. Completed within a few hours. No molding costs or complex installations - a convincing solution!
Impact protection coating - mechanical feeding by means of sizing - protected by a 1.5 mm thick protective coating with MetaLine 795. Note the precision of the edge finish - if you can do better give us a call - and you have the job with us. We promise!
Filter coating - this screen basket is coated on the inside with 3 mm MetaLine 785. However, a complete concept also includes corrosion protection in the holes and on the outside! A thin layer of 1 mm MetaLine 785 completes the protection and prevents the coating on the inside from peeling off!
Screen coating - parts of the screen have been precisely and permanently sealed with MetaLine 785 to protect the supporting beams underneath
Screen frame coating - support structure coated with 3 mm MetaLine 785 to hold the screen inserts. One of the biggest difficulties in spray coating is finding the right spray angle and the correct spray distance - WE can do it!
Electroplating - 2 mm MetaLine 785 for mechanical screen protection in a ball bearing factory. Not really spectacular - but we relieved the customer's quality manager of a major worry. With pleasure!
Filter coating - if only everything were as easy as Internet providers would have you believe! No, coating is something for specialists - whenever it is possible to do it yourself, we will support you. But we also say a clear "stop" when the level of difficulty becomes too high. A visit to our coating center in southern Germany will clear up many questions!
Drum screen lining - on-site coating of the frame construction of a drum screen in Central Africa. Such applications require a coating material that is not damaged by the local heat and humidity during processing. No problem for MetaLine - we developed it for this purpose ...
Spin drum coating - Stainless steel spin drum protected against electro-chemical corrosion by a 2 mm thick MetaLine 785 coating. Not every application is understandable at first glance. But it is our strength to develop solutions that are ingenious at second glance!
