Coatings to seal concrete structures

Concrete basins are exposed to constant stresses due to weathering, movement and use. Penetrating liquids lead to corrosion of the reinforcement. Moisture damage, stress cracks and chipping are the quickly visible problems. Even more dangerous are the invisible consequences in the form of loss of stability and even total failure!

New cracks up to a width of 3 mm may be bridged as from a coating thickness of only 1.5 mm from "zero". Penetration of water, chemicals and dirt is securely prevented. Non-slip features guarantee sure footing and minimize the risk of accidents.
MetaLine Series 700 – MetaLine Series 700 coatings develop excellent crack-bridging properties. Due to the enormous elongation character, future cracking of up to a width of 3 mm (120 mils) can be bridged by a coating thickness starting from 1.5 mm (60 mils) only. The penetration of water and chemicals is safely prevented - even under higher water pressure. The transition zone between concrete and steel frames, as in hydraulic steelworks, will be greatly protected from infiltration. Gas-tight properties prevent carbonization! Non-slip features ensure safe footing and minimize the risk of accidents.

Technical solutions in detail

MetaLine Series 700 –

MetaLine Series 700 coatings develop crack-bridging properties. The penetration of water, chemicals or contaminants is reliably prevented - even underwater and at greater depths. A permanent seal is created at the transitions between concrete and embedded steel parts, such as those found in hydraulic engineering.

Carbonization is stopped by the gas-tight properties. Anti-slip properties ensure safe footing and minimize the risk of accidents.

Containment lining - a 2 mm (80 mils) MetaLine 785 coating ensures watertightness, weather protection and is permanently elastic. Nothing is more important for concrete surfaces than being able to yield to the movements of the substrate . . .
Gutter coating - a 10 mm (400 mils) MetaLine 785 lining protects this trough from wear in potato processing. Sand, stones, soil and lots of potatoes that eat away even stainless steel in no time at all . . .
Basin coating - the entire concrete surfaces were sealed with permanently elastic MetaLine 785. Easy to clean, hygienic, waterproof, crack-bridging and relatively insensitive to mechanical damage . . .
Lining of the clarifier - The entire clarifier was lined with MetaLine 785 in a layer thickness of 3 mm (120 mils). Our material is resistant to biological degradation processes, rot-resistant and wear-resistant. Without these properties, nothing works in the clarifier . . .
Secondary containment coating - MetaLine 785 can also be applied safely in high heat and/or high humidity. However, concrete coatings are not for inexperienced hands - as is so often the case, preparation is the be-all and end-all!
Sump tray coating - a concrete tray elastically coated with 2 mm (80 mils) MetaLine 785. The problem is usually not to be found in the surface, but rather in the precise design of the grooves in the corners . . .
Containment coating - MetaLine 785 during application using a high-pressure spray device. Our coatings can be applied with a wide range of application equipment. Please ask us for the right device for your application!
Concrete waterproofing - seamless on a very difficult, uneven substrate. Here you can see very clearly how much attention must be paid to a non-porous finish. The flow properties (thixotropy) of the material are crucial here!
Secondary containment coating - one of the most important clarifications before coating is the question of chemical exposure. MetaLine Series 700 can be used in a pH range of 3-11. For more aggressive media, MetaLine 100XTM must be used
Terrarium coating - aquarium, terrarium or cage - our elastic coatings improve cleanability and protect against moisture and faeces. Even more important, however, are glare-free and low-reflection colors to create a habitat that is as close to nature as possible
Tank base sealing - MetaLine 785 is a perfect elastic permanent seal in the transition area from concrete foundations to steel tanks. Very high elasticity and maximum adhesion to both substrate materials are important here
